Our five charming beach homes are located in the small town of Haena, right at Kepuhi Point Beach. This exclusive 2 acre beach front estate is situated within a quiet residential neighborhood off the beaten track and hidden by tropical foliage. Our alternative vacation rentals have direct beach access from our grounds and are the ideal Hawaii vacation destination for the for the alternative traveler and the green tourist. Quiet and secluded, the Hale Makai Beach Cottages are only surrounded by the beauty of Haena and the North Shore of Kauai.

The Hale Makai Tropical Gardens

The Fauna and Flora at the Kauai North Shore is unique in the world. Moderate tropical temperatures and regular tropical showers provide the right environment in which plants and wildlife can thrive and tourists come to experience the tropical paradise of Kauai. Our 2 acre beach front estate is nestled within the most beautiful and secluded part of the North Shore, surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and the rugged and breathtakingly beautiful landscape of the NaPali Mountains. The Hale Makai Tropical Gardens are well maintained and invite our guests to linger on our grounds, and settle down to a slower pace, where the worries and daily concern can be forgotten. Our hammocks among the coconut trees invite to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Steamers chairs and various garden sitting areas invite to spent time on the Hale Makai Grounds and to let life pass by in harmony and peace. Aloha and welcome to the North Shore. One of the most well known tropical gardens in the neighborhood is the Limahuli Garden, which was selected by the American Horticultural Society as the best natural botanical garden in the United States Tour Limahuli Garden.

The Hale Makai Beach Cottages are an exclusive Beachfront Estate with five private and secluded beach homes. Our Kauai "Beach Cottage 2" and our "Beach Cottage 5" are both very stylish two-bedroom beachfront homes, perfect for a family beach vacations or for friends travelling together. Our Kauai Beach Cottages 1, 3 & 4, are each charming and romantic one-bedroom Kauai vacation homes, ideal for a romantic getaway or a Kauai Honeymoon. All five vacation rentals have lavish travertine spa bathrooms, fully equipped gourmet kitchens, travertine floors, hypoallergenic Phi-ton mattresses, warm outdoor showers and unmatched ocean and garden views. Each beach home has its own private oceanfront lanai, which adds another outdoor living space great for sunbathing, reading, stargazing and oceanfront dining.
